The Collect: God our redeemer; you have delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of your Son: grant, that as by his death he has recalled us to life, so by his continual presence in us he may raise us to eternal joy; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
The Additional Collect: Risen Christ, by the lakeside you renewed your call to your disciples: help your church to obey your command and draw the nations to the fire of your love, to the glory of God the Father
St John's Sunday School: Activities for younger members of the congregation will take place during the 10.00 am service except during school holidays or on the 1st Sunday of the month (when we have our Family Communion Service). For more information email fr.edwardbarlow@gmail.com.
Journey of Faith an evening of music and poems with Petra Stoffel. Wednesday 8th June at 7.30 pm St Lawrence’s RC Church, Sidcup. Tickets £10 including a £2 donation to Ukraine appeal. Further details from Clive or Chris.
Save the Date - Erith Operatic are holding a summer concert at St Barnabas, Joydens Wood on the evening of Friday 1 July. The charge will be £10 a ticket. This is a joint fund-raiser for themselves, and for the new build at St Barnabas. Details to follow.
Joydens Wood Jubilee Community Fayre - Saturday 4th June at St Barnabas Church 11.00 am-2.00 pm. Join in the fun and celebrate this historic moment with the community of Joydens Wood. £1 entrance fee for adults.
