The Collect: God, who in generous mercy sent the Holy Spirit upon your Church in the burning fire of your love: grant that your people may be fervent in the fellowship of the gospel that, always abiding in you, they may be found steadfast in faith and active in service; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
The Additional Collect: Lord God, defend your church from all false teaching and give to your people knowledge of your truth, that we may enjoy eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Harvest Festival services
Sunday 2nd October St John’s at 10.00 am (followed by bring and share lunch)
Sunday 9th October St James's at 9.30am, St Barnabas at 10.45 am, St Mary’s at 10.00 am (followed by harvest lunch in hall at midday)
St John’s: Family Communion: 1st Sunday of every month. Toddler Church: Toddler Church on Fridays at 2.00 pm. Harvest Festival will be celebrated during the 10.00 am Family Communion Service on the 2nd October, and will be followed with a bring and share lunch at which a collection will be taken for the work of Bexley Foodbank. A memorial Songs of Praise service for Rosie Fyfe will take place at 6.00 pm on Sunday 16th October at St John's.
