Proposed Work
The Church Spire currently is clad in cedar shingles and as can be seen from the video and images, they are in a state of dis-repair. The original shingles would have been constructed from oak, and it is the intention to repair the spire by re-cladding it in oak shingles - which should last significantly longer than the cedar shingles. Before the work can be carried out we need to have a bat survey during the months of May through to September 2026 to ensure there are no bats in the belfry!
All being well the work should commence after the survey completes.
