Bible Readings Deuteronomy 26 v1-11 Romans 10 v8b-13 Luke 4 v1-13
The Collect Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness, and was tempted as we are, yet without sin: give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit; and, as you know our weakness, so may we know your power to save; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
The Additional Collect Heavenly Father, your Son battled with the powers of darkness, and grew closer to you in the desert: help us to use these days to grow in wisdom and prayer that we may witness to your saving love in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Lent Course 2022. Join us this Lent as we explore ‘The Prayers of Jesus’.

A lovely David’s Day social afternoon was held at The Bothy at St James North Cray on Tuesday afternoon. The Bothy looked beautiful decorated with bunting and vases of daffodils, and it is an ideal venue for a small party. A huge THANK YOU to all who made the afternoon possible. It was great to see every church in the Bexley Team represented, as well as local residents and friends. A magnificent total of £300 was raised towards the St James Save Our Spire fund. If you would like to donate to this fund, we would be very grateful for cash or cheques made payable to St James North Cray PCC, through Rev Ren.

Fish & Chip Supper on the evening of Friday 18th March – booking necessary. New programme of events now available and also on the notice board of each of the Team churches. All are welcome to attend meetings as a guest.
Friends of St Mary’s diary dates- 22nd April an outing to Pashley Manor Tulip Festival £30 per person to include coach travel, entry and gratuities. 30th April at 7.00 pm a talk on Medieval St Mary’s by Dr Cindy Wood. £5 to include light refreshments. Further details of these events to follow.
Bexley Winter Shelter: The Winter Shelter is now open for the 2022 Season. To refer a rough sleeper to the Winter Shelter please contact Guest Case Worker Steve Wise on 07305102730 or guest@bexleywintershelter.org.uk. Please note that unlike pre-pandemic seasons, referrals are welcome from both male and female guests.
